  Slip resistance

  The slip resistance requirements of sportsshoes varies widely across the spectrum of sports – those involving rapidstops, starts and changes of direction provide the greatest challenge to sole designers.SATRA can assess the slip resistance of a range of sports footwear but alsooffer advice on tread design and compound choice.
  不同的运动类别对运动鞋的防滑性能要求也各有不同——涉及到急速停止,起步和转向的运动对鞋底设计的挑战最大。SATRA不仅能评估各种运动鞋的防滑性能,还能提供鞋底设计和复合材料选择方面的建议。
  Shock absorption

  Shock absorption is particularly important for sports played on hard surfaces. The midsole and components such as footbeds and other inserts should absorb impact to minimise risk of ankle, knee, hip and lower back injuries. SATRA can measure the shock absorption properties of complete shoes and also components and sheet materials.

  Flexibility

  A stiff shoe requires more energy to flex but may offer support and protect the foot on uneven ground. Different sports and activities will require different levels of stability. The two key modes of flexibility are longitudinal, which describes how easily the footwear ‘bends’ along its length, and torsional or measuring how easily it twists around the heel to toe axis. Both these properties can be measured at SATRA.

  Cushioning reduces pressure points and the risk of foot injuries. SATRA’s whole shoe and material cushioning tests can assess products to ensure they meet the high demands of modern sports footwear.

  Durability

  Sports footwear can be subjected to vigorous use. Wear life is important and premature wear could compromise the wearer’s performance. As well as biomechanical abrasion testing that simulates the forces of walking, SATRA also offers a complete wear assessment protocol that combines other procedures including the simulation of perspiration during wear.
  运动鞋在穿着过程中往往受力较大。穿着寿命非常重要,过早磨损会影响穿着者的运动表现。除了模拟行走力度的生物力学磨损试验之外,SATRA还提供与其它测试(包括穿着出汗模拟)相结合的一整套穿着评估草案。
  Stud safety

  SATRA’s stud and cleat safety protocol looks at a number of key aspects of the whole footwear. Sports studs are required to perform well in terms of grip and strength while not presenting a danger to other players. Assessment of studs at SATRA includes glancing/ raking testing, a stud/cleat impact test and a wear simulation which includes an assessment of the risk of burrs which can exacerbate injury. An impact test against the upper uses pressure mapping techniques to assess the risk of injuries from studs.

  Sports footwear requires good moisture management to avoid perspiration build up in the hose and footwear linings. Aswell as making the wearer uncomfortable and potentially impacting competitive performance, if moisture is not managed effectively there is increased risk of skin abrasion damage. Assessment at SATRA can include a heated, ‘perspiring’ foot form to simulate the performance of product in wear.
  运动鞋需要良好的湿气管理,避免汗水积聚在袜子和鞋内里中。如果湿气没有得到有效的散发,除了会让穿着者感到不舒服,并可能影响竞赛成绩外,还会增加皮肤破损的风险。SATRA的评估是采用一只加热至“出汗”的脚模型来模拟产品在穿着中的性能。
  Fitting

  Sports footwear should be correctly proportioned and shaped so that it supports the foot without exerting undue pressure on the toes or other sensitive areas. SATRA is a recognised expert on footwear fitting, fit and comfort after 90 years’ research on the relationship between feet and footwear.
  运动鞋的形状比例要得当,从而对脚部起到支撑作用,避免对脚趾或其它敏感部位产生过大压力。SATRA对鞋脚关系的研究已长达90年,成为鞋子适穿性,合脚性和舒适性方面公认的专家。
